Choose from two concentrations:
Digital marketing managers develop, implement, and oversee long-term campaigns and short-term advertising on digital platforms to enhance brand awareness, drive traffic to a company’s website or other online platforms, and generate sales leads. They may research and test new digital tools and trends, measure and report on performance and analytics, or help optimize the user experience online.
Internal communications managers are key to building organizational culture and fostering employee engagement, and serve as a bridge between executives and employees. They develop communications plans that ensure employees are informed of company news, goals and plans, and manage the communications channels used to reach staff members. They may also prepare and implement crisis communications plans.
Journalists produce news stories and commentary for print, broadcast, and digital platforms, including newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and social media. They may collect and analyze information through interviews, investigations, or observations.
Marketing account executives ensure that marketing, advertising, or digital campaigns run smoothly and efficiently, and work is completed on time and on budget. They are often the liaison between the team and the client, and may contribute creative ideas to the campaign.
Political campaign managers oversee all aspects of a political campaign throughout the election cycle, from hiring and fundraising to media presence and voter analytics. They are also responsible for solidifying the campaign’s messaging and policy positions and developing voter outreach strategies.
Public relations managers plan and implement communications strategies that promote a specific public image for individuals, groups, or organizations, or raise awareness about a particular issue. They may write or produce multimedia content for mass media distribution, serve as a designated spokesperson, or develop promotional strategies and plans.
Speech writers craft speeches for politicians, executives, and other public figures that effectively communicate the speaker’s ideas and objectives to an audience. They typically work closely with the speaker to understand their goals and message, as well as their personality and voice.
Technical communications specialists present complex information in a clear and concise format to people who need it to accomplish a specific task or goal. They may create content for a wide variety of presentation methods, including books, brochures, training modules and digital media.
