Virtual 3MT Competition

The 6th annual VCU 3MT ® Competition will be held virtually via Zoom on Friday, October 16, 2020.

Competitors will record their 3MT presentations (using any available recording device) and submit them for consideration in the Virtual 3MT Competition.

For the preliminary round, judging panels will evaluate all presentations using the 3MT scoring rubric. Based on scoring, the top six presentations will move on to the final round. Presenters moving to the final round will be allowed a brief window of time to alter their video submission prior to final round judging.

The final round will take place synchronously during the meeting on Friday, October 16th. Judges will evaluate the presentations during the final round and announce winners following the final round.

Monetary awards ($500, $300, and $200) will go to the top three speakers from the final round. The Graduate School will also sponsor the first place winner to compete in the Council of Southern Graduate Schools’ Virtual 3MT ® competition at the 2021 CSGS Virtual Conference to be held on February 24-26, 2021.
