Graduate Research Symposium

Each spring, the Graduate Student Association sponsors a research symposium to present graduate research work to the university and Richmond community.

The event is an excellent opportunity for graduate students from all disciplines to present their original research and creative projects to faculty, staff, students and community members. Participation in this event has nearly doubled every year and attracts not only VCU students and faculty, but local media, legislators and respected members of the Richmond business community.

The 20th Annual Research Symposium and Exhibit is April 18, 2017, in the Commonwealth Ballroom in the University Student Commons from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Research Symposium and Exhibit Guidelines for Presenters

Call for submissions:  Submit your research proposal abstracts at  https://goo.gl/KKxdMu.  The deadline for submissions is Monday, March 20, 2017.  For abstract requirements:  Symposium Abstract Format

The Graduate School and University Libraries invite you to upload your research poster to the Scholars Compass.  This feature is only open to Graduate Research Symposium participants who exhibit their poster.  Please be reminded that you are responsible for securing permission for all authors listed on your poster before you complete the upload process.  Posters must be uploaded by May 12, 2017.
